shawn was crazy easy to shoot. i mean, most times i end up looking through the photos at the end of a shoot to see which ones are usable, then i make my selects from those. but with shawn, every time the shutter opened it was a winner. and that pretty much how it’s been for shawn lately – she just can’t stop winning. she nailed down the gold on balance beam in the 2008 olympics in beijing (check out the standing backflip full twist at 2:07 – holy moly!) and just won dancing with the stars. that’s pretty much a big deal. especially when you have all that under your belt before 18. when i was 18, i was living out of a VW bus eating little debbie snack cakes and drinking half-and-half out of the carton.

- this kinda reminds me of that picture of drew barrymore from “firestarter.” except a lot less evil. and less windy. and.. ok, it’s nothing like it. but kinda.

- earlier in the day shawn went riding horses and got caught in a rain storm. got soaked to the bone. before we took these shots i asked to to throw on some jeans, so she did. after the shoot she told me the only jeans she had were the ones that got soaked. she wore cold wet jeans and never complained once. what a trooper.

Hi Josh, a big fan of Shawn also a photographer myself, after reviewing your photos of her, you it nail on the head! Shawn is a very photogenic person and a personality to go with it. I always tell her on Twitter she is Americas Sweetheart! Great photos of Shawn keep up the great work!

These pictures are really cute of her. I like the elephant necklace that she wears in one of the pictures. And i also like the pictures of her and the horse. too cute! 🙂
